Colin Macfarlane (visiting Perth from the Rotary Club of Box Hill) gave a very quick overview of this marvelous project that is administered by the Rotary Club of Box Hill. The project raises funds for doctors to perform operations to repair cleft palates and cleft lips in Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, India & Laos. Because they use local doctors, each operation costs as little as $150 . There are over 170,000 untreated cases in Bangladesh alone. The operation makes a “life changing” difference. Donations are tax deductible and 100% of the donation is used for the operations with all administrative costs paid the Rotary Club of Box Hill and the Glencoe Foundation.
