It therefore falls under the administration of one of the Kupang branches of TLM, the local administrator of the scheme. Allan McLean introduced his guest – Judith Pinchyk from the Australian Institute of Conveyancers. Judith then presented a cheque for $5,000 to the Club as a contribution toward the autism project that Heirisson is supporting. Jenny Roberts was present to accept the cheque on behalf of the Club. Each week Paul Faix will be collecting tinned food – bring some along or be prepared to make a donation in lieu. ABA involves 30 hours of therapy each week and is an expensive treatment that gives children a 50% chance of recovery. Nicole met Jenny in Tasmania and at first was very skeptical about Jennys method of treatment which was based on a 5 day program involving the entire family of the autistic child. Unfortunately many things are not spoken about and Norma likened their experience to that of someone trying to keep a beach ball submersed below water. Our big winners were really our event participants who adopted our ducks and came along as spectators on the day, and our event beneficiaries. East Perth Cemeteries - St Bartholomew's Chapel Belfry | >> Read More In 1993, the Club was in its infancy. Heather Leaney, as a volunteer guide at the East Perth Cemeteries, heard that the bell tower at St Bart's Chapel needed replacing. Jim Fitzgerald was soon on the job, with brother John, and advice from the National Trust's Ron Bodycoat, producing the replica tower we see today. Treated with modern insecticides, the replica is expected to outlast the original, a permanent landmark commemorating Heirisson's work in our local comminity.
President David Cleary noted the flooding in Queensland and the immense work faced by those tasked with cleaning up and rebuilding their homes and businesses. Rotary School Link Program - Girrawheen Senior High School | >> Read More Heirisson in its early years had an intensive partnership with Girrawheen Senior High School, particularly under Principals Barry Wells and Lesley Street. The club was involved in many practical, vocational and community programs and projects with the school, from brick paving to work-experience. The school engaged in a wide-ranging local development project that saw the parents and community take up the ongoing process of community building, and a New North Vocational Initiative across schools in the area.



Mr Redmond (62) collected the ‘Community Group or Event Award’ at a joint citizenship and Premier’s Awards ceremony on January 23 for his work as executive chairman of the foundation, which supports people around the State who have lost a child.
The Sorrento resident knows first hand of sadness of losing his own son and daughter-in-law after a canyoning tragedy in Interlaken, Switzerland in 1999, which claimed the lives of 21 young people.

Encountered some “language” difficulties with many words that the Americans do not understand.
Spoke to the Californians about many local projects including the Rotary Cord Blood Bank, Wheelchairs For Kids &ROMAC.

However he left the bush and joined the Army - served in Malaysia and South Vietnam and had a stint in Fort Lee (Texas). He finished his army service in 1984 as a Lt Colonel. After the army he has been a newsagent and GM of the RPYC.
