National Youth Science Forum (NYSF)

In January 2010 Rotary Aunt Lucy Brooks and Rotary Uncle Warwick Smith were on hand to witness the incredible energy of the first NYSF students to be hosted in Perth.  Students had access to experts with diverse backgrounds, at leading organisations such as UWA, Curtin University, Austal Ships, Alcoa, Water Corp, the Gravity Centre, WA Museum, Perth Zoo and Perth Mint.

During 2010 Greg Thurston took up the role of coordinating Rotary's NYSF involvement in WA, taking over from Lucy Brooks who had the role for many years.  Heirisson Rotarians, particularly Cheryl Sierkierka and Judith Morrisey have been crucial to the district's achievements with the Forum over more than 15 years.
